The policy of ministry of Rev. HongDo KIM at Kumnan church is "only saving soul". Since he delivers a message that "whoever that believes in Jesus and accepts him can save life and be qualified to enter heaven for eternal life", all the congregations have mercy and a conviction of salvation.
Praying with loud voice during worship is a characteristic of Kumnan church. In addition, Kumnan church is well known for eagerly attending evening service while many churches close evening service. There is a 'Bible Explanation' of Rev HongDo KIM during evening service unless a special speaker comes. He explains Bible easily and speaks to us spiritual meaning in detail inside Bible.
After first service at new church covering an area of 2,500 pyeong in Aug, 1984, all the congregations put more effort into harvesting people. In those days, Rev. HongDo KIM's outside activities such as oversea mission trip, numerous revival services, and TV sermons made Kumnan church be in the spotlight in and out.
