 Kumnan church to the world

In spite of three times of reconstruction, capacity of the church covering an area of 2,500 pyeong and accommodating six thousands people became too narrow. Therefore, the matter of reconstructing the church covering 12,400 pyeong and accommodating ten thousands people was decided by the board of directors.
Work of construction was suspended in May 1998 because of the construction company's matter; however it was restarted by prayer and earnest desire of congregations. Oh-Goo engineering & construction(Ltd) that took over construction of the new church corrected all the indicated problems and installed interior design, seats, sound facilities, and IBS System from Feb 1999 to Jan 2000 so that the world largest Methodist church covering 12,400 pyeong and accommodating ten thousands people could be constructed.
The new church, taking roughly 5 years consists of ten stories and six basements, is the world's largest Methodist church in size, completed with the budget of 55 billion won. On 25.Feb.1999, there was a first service to in gratitude for God's mercy and love at the beautiful and grand church.
'15.July.2001' was the day that Rev HongDo KIM served in the church for thirty years. The title of the church for that year was the 'The church harvesting people with full of spirit' and Rev. HongDo KIM set the month as 'a month for concentrating on harvest' and proposed to make efforts to harvest. It starts with a title, 'I harvest one and you also harvest one'. At the result of this movement, two thousand new congregations registered at the church in a week and ten thousand people registered in that month. Since the year of 2001, all the church members have made effort to harvest people with the title of 'a month for concentrating on harvest'
By following Rev. HongDo KIM' ministry policy, saving soul first, Kumnan church has extended every year through only prayer and harvest. The church that loves the nation and people pray, delivers a right message of Jesus, and truly loves spirit is the Kumnan Methodist church.
