Prayer of mother

"Since my son Hong-do was young , he has always had a strong faith in God. His strong faith made me awake."
- some of the quotes were from Mrs. Lee's bio. -

Suk-Nyo Lee was born in PyongAnBukDo (North Korea) in October, 22th,1909 who was the youngest daughter.

When she worked at church as a teacher, she met one guy who was a year older than her and his name was Sang-Hyuk, and she got married with him.

After they were married, there were really hard times for her. because her husband was against the independence of Korea, and was a public officer who moved a lot.

But she brought up her children as real christians who had faith in God , even though she had to work instead of her husband.

When Korea was colonized by the Japanese ,she suffered from money problems and the Japanese unreasonable acts ,and she had to move a lot in order to avoid strikes.

She had experienced a lot of bad things,so it was really difficult time for her to take care of six children , but she got through it with her faith in God.

"God!! I dedicate this tithe to you, even though I coudn't buy any food for my children. Please lead them to your way and take care of their future. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen."

Finally , she became a evagelist at a church in Guro in December ,1967,after that she started preaching at a church in Chol-Won. It means that her dedication helped her prayer come true, when she was 60yrs old.

She always prayed for her children.

"My father, I want that not only Korea, but my sons work abroad for you."

A callous formed on her knee, because she prayed a lot.

Her four sons and even son-in-law became pasters and elders. Most of all, her first and second sons became a leader of a Methodist church in Korea , and is the best Methodist church. That was one of her wishes.

She did mission work for 12 yrs ,and preached about her experiences of meeting God.

She pass away later on in her older age.
